These sashigane (carpenter’s square) are quintessential tools for measuring and marking. These squares are in imperial/inches, and are made from stainless steel and have etched markings ensuring a long life. They are also made with a thick corner to better protect the integrity of the square and to make it easier to use. They also include a circle scale (marume) and square scale (kakume). These allow you to measure the circumference of a circle and to measure the largest square possible from circular material, respectively.
