Nihonsan is one of the only brick-and-mortar shops in the U.S. solely focused on selling Japanese woodworking hand tools and hardware. we are also a community offering Japanese woodworking classes, beginners’ kits, Hinoki lumber from Japan, as well as knowledge and guidance through our staff and community partners. If we don’t have what you want, we can probably point you in the right direction to find it.

Nihonsan was conceived by Joe Samalin and Shuya Iida of Hachi Collections, and his incredible team there.
