Juntaro Mitsukawa Flush Cut, Zero Set Saw, Various sizes
These saws come from Juntaro Mitsukawa in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Mitsukawa is a 3rd generation master saw maker and we are excited to be able to sell his tools. These are lightweight, masterfully-made smaller saws with no set. With many western and Japanese saws, the blade’s teeth are splayed slightly outward, to allow cut material to clear out of the cut on each stroke. Saws with no set allow you to flush cut wooden nails, dowels, through tenons, etc., and to get a thinner kerf cut in wood.
