Double Blade Pull Saw (Ryoba) - One Touch with 1 Blade
This saw is even found in the kits and shops of many Western woodworkers. Ryoba feature a double-sided blade, with one side for cross-cutting and one for rip-cutting. As with other Japanese saws, the ryoba cuts on a pull stroke, not a push stroke as with Western-style saws. This allows for thinner blades and cleaner cuts, and is arguably more ergonomically happy to use as well.
Also like most ryoba, this saw comes with a replaceable blade, and it is called the one touch because of the simple latch system used to take out and place the blade in the handle. The saw comes with the handle and one blade.
Please note: when buying replacement blades for Japanese saws make sure you are getting the right blade for the right maker and size of saw!
